Project description
Travelers often face the hassle of juggling multiple websites for flights, hotels, and activities, leading to fragmented itineraries and wasted time. Travel Sphere transforms this experience by offering an all-in-one booking platform, seamlessly integrating trip essentials and local experiences. This ensures a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable planning process for every journey.
Challenge
How might we simplify the travel planning process by integrating flights, accommodations, and local experiences into a single, user-friendly platform to enhance efficiency and traveler satisfaction?
Timeframe
From explorations to final designs in 5 weeks while working with multiple projects at the same time.

Process
User interviews and journey mapping revealed travelers juggled multiple tabs, often forgetting to book key experiences or ending up in hotels far from their desired activities. Competitive analysis showed fragmented, overwhelming platforms with clunky filters and poor local integration. During ideation, we landed on the concept of a unified travel hub that combines lodging, activities, and itinerary planning into a single, cohesive experience. Prototypes focused on contextual suggestions and seamless bundling. Usability testing surfaced confusion around multi-booking flows, so we refined the timeline view and introduced smart rebooking prompts. These changes fundamentally reimagined how users plan and book their entire trip in one place.
Research & Planning
Conducted competitor analysis and user interviews to uncover gaps in current travel platforms—specifically around fragmented booking flows and lack of personalized recommendations. Developed personas and mapped user journeys to guide feature prioritization.
Design & Prototyping
Sketched early concepts and wireframes to test the all-in-one booking flow. Built interactive prototypes focused on bundled trip planning, and refined them through iterative testing to improve clarity and engagement.
Development & Implementation
Applied agile UX practices to develop core features like integrated hotel-activity booking and a personalized itinerary view. Prioritized performance and responsiveness across devices to support real-world trip planning on the go.
Solution
The resulting all-in-one booking platform simplifies trip planning by allowing users to book hotels, activities, and local experiences in one streamlined flow. TravelSphere offers contextual suggestions based on location, interests, and trip duration therefore removing the need to jump between multiple platforms. The design prioritizes clarity, flexibility, and personalization, making it easier for users to plan every part of their journey with confidence.
Smart Trip Builder
Users input their destination, travel dates, and preferences, and Travel Sphere auto generates a personalized itinerary with suggested hotels, experiences, and activities—eliminating the hassle of piecing together separate bookings.
Contextual Booking Filters
Location-aware filters adapt in real time based on the user’s itinerary and proximity, helping travelers find options that make sense logistically such as hotels near planned activities or experiences within walking distance.
Dynamic Itinerary Timeline
A visual, interactive timeline allows users to drag, drop, and adjust their bookings on the fly. This centralized view keeps travel plans flexible while maintaining clarity and control across every part of the trip.
Results
Here, the project’s key outcomes, including insights gained from user testing, improvements made through iterative design, and the overall impact on user experience. Showcasing how the final solution addressed real pain points and elevated the planning and booking process for travelers.
